A second generation realtor, I grew up in Monticello, living on Lake Freeman most of my life. After getting a degree from Purdue University, I started my sales career at Cellular Express. From there I joined the banking world working at Charter One, also working in sales.
In 2004 I got my real estate license and found a career that has become a passion to me. Always striving to stay on top of the latest technology and provide the best service possible, I went on to get my broker’s license and became a part owner in the company. I have been White County’s Top Agent since 2008 (Per White Co. Assoc of Realtors/MLS/IRMLS, 1/1/08-12/31/16). In 2016 I sold 26.9 million and closed 172 transactions. (Per White Co. Assoc of Realtors/MLS/IRMLS, 1-1-16 to 12-31-16. as part of the Hickman-Walts Team)
In 2010 I married Angie (Morris) Hickman and now have an active 11 year old step son, Aiden, Jack was born in July of 2011 and Connor born in March of 2013. Balancing work and family is a challenge, I am very fortunate to have a wife that has now joined me in real estate as my partner.
My “stress release” is jogging, I try to get out and run several miles three times a week. I also have a passion for reading and have a couple of books going at one time.
If you choose to work with me in buying or selling a home, I can assure you that I will always be honest, hardworking and give you the best advertising and service possible.
